Tug Of Biscuit
This film was created as part of the MSc Animation & Visualisation course at Dundee University (Jan 2014 – Aug 2014), by a team of 4. The story revolves around a dog that keeps having his biscuits snatched by a hungry bird in the garden. The story idea was created after being inspired by my own dog and humorous situations from everyday life.
My roles included:
Software used: Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects
During pre-production I worked on storyboards, created an animatic, then kept the animatic up-to-date throughout production.
I filmed footage of my own dog to use as reference for animation.
These are watercolour studies to research dog body language through silhouettes.
Colour variations of the dog character.
Whilst researching anthropomorphism I drew this scenario with a human character, then used the same expressions on a dog character.
The blendshapes I created fro the dog and bird characters.
Sketches of the human character and the blendshapes that were needed.
Watercolour paintings for prop designs in the garden environment.
Watercolour studies of plants for the garden environment.
Digital paintings of character concepts for the bird.
